ran .5 cause my legs were feeling rusty from the car ride. about 45 min before i warmed up a mile. started on the race and went out way too fast. my first mile was somewhere from a 5:30-5:40. my legs felt super tired from thursday and i lost it mentally. definitely should've started out slower and built up. the second mile was what got me. i ended with an 11:55 which considering the car ride and racing on Thursday, wasn't too bad, i just wish i had a stronger mental game and was able to push myself a little bit more. im so ready for outdoor season and im already wanting to race again. shoutout to jamie cause she's the best coach ever. and grateful for naps cause i took a pretty quality one after my race.
