ran 3 before the workout today because i had work. did a half mile warm up on the turf. the workout today for day 2 of awesome week was 5x500s at 800 pace with 6 minutes of rest inbetween. my focus was to hit my times on the 400s and give the rest that i had on the 100. wasn't able to hit all my times, but i felt like i really pushed myself. i definitely enjoyed this workout better than yesterday, and i felt like i had a better effort. shoutout to Mario cause she got to do 3 with us! and shoutout to the whole team cause we are pretty much halfway through awesome week.

recovery run today with watson. we ran up by samis house and around there. it was very warm and so great. also, my spirit animal is an arctic fox so that's high class.

today was a really good distance run kinda out towards willowcreek. we kept a good steady pace and my legs felt really good. also there was this random guy in a truck that was following us around and cheering us on so that's a plus. shoutout to him.

speed day 3 of awesome week did not disappoint. we had 3 sets of whistle hills, the first two were 15-20-25 seconds and the last one was 20-25-30 seconds. i really tried to push myself this workout, especially the last set. by the end i felt like i was gonna throw up, so i guess you could say that's a success. watson and i cooled down by 12th east and went back to the high school to do abs, but you know that turned out into more of an ice war which felt so nice in the blazing heat.

today we warmed up on the turf a half mile cause our workout had a lot of mileage. we had 20x400s, split into sets of five. the first set was 5k pace, which felt super slow, but defintely not something you wanna push when you got 15 more ahead of you. the second set was 2 mile pace. i ran this set with guppy so that was sick. got a lil more tired but still not bad. third set of five was current mile pace. watson and i were very consistent which was good, but i started to feel pretty tired. last set was just faster and what we could do, so watson and i did about 3ish seconds faster for the first four and the last 400 we went all out. i got about 5 seconds faster so i felt good about that, and watson killed it with a 72!! overall the workout was hard but rewarding and i liked it a lot more than i thought i would (: afterwards we had breakfast but i just had orange juice cause all the sprinters stole the good food. played some ping pong and speed with sami so shoutout to her for killin it today and playing games with me! unshoutout to Collin for stealing all the warm blankets.

today was just so fabulous. guppy watson rachel and i met up at the park and ran on the Murdock trail! it was recovery today but thankfully i was feeling pretty good (: afterwards we got breakfast at kneaders which was super high quality and highly recommended.

today i ran a 4 mile loop by watsons and guppys house then went back to the high school and did 5x150 m buildups and some jogging inbetween to finish up mileage. it felt super nice outside but my feet and calves were really hurting today, so hopefully when i get my new shoes here in a few weeks that'll help.

warmed up on main 1.5 then got back for the circuit workout. it was 3 miles with lunges and squats and such inbetween the 400 and 800s. we ran it on the turf which felt super nice. finished up mileage with guppy on the road since i got sick of the turf. shoutout to guppy today cause she's the bestest. and collin for doing the math with me last night. that was rough stuff

ran 3.25 during lunch at a fast distance run pace and it felt so good. after school i ran 1.75 on the turf for a warm up. just had a mile left so i went out with the girls and turned back halfway up the over pass. oh and y'all should vote MaKiah for student body president tomorrow.

1 and a half mile warm up down main with guppy. started the workout, it was 2 sets of 800-600-400-200 with 2 min rests inbetween and 4 min between the sets. the 800 and  600 were at 2 mile pace and the 400 and 200 were at mile pace. pretty solid workout, except the 2nd 800 i kinda lost it until mario yelled at me so shoutout to her for that and being able to do the whole speed workout! cooled down a mile and a half with guppy and sami out by state street, and then sami and i did a half mile on the turf. it felt good to have more speed, but awesome week defintely wrecked me. and seriously im so ready to race again, it's been too long.

today i woke up pretty early and couldn't go back to sleep. that's ok tho, cause i got to see the sun rise on my run this morning. i ran to the af rec center which turned out to be almost exactly my mileage. i got there right when yoga started and did that. my left leg was kinda bothering me on the run, but i think it's just from the workout and like turning on the track. after yoga, i biked 20 minutes and then did my abs. came home and made myself a super delicious breakfast and took a 2 hour nap, so id call today pretty successful .

today we had high mileage for like the first time in forever! the first few miles were kinda rough with the wind and all but the second half of the run flew by so fast!! man i just love running with the girls. it actually felt so good today and that made me really happy (: today's a swell day. shoutout to sam for being my fam and also shoutout to the horse that let us pet it. it was a really pretty horse.

did a mile warm up and then surprise speed. it wasn't too bad at all though. we at 6x400s at current mile pace (5:30) then 3 min rest inbetween each. hit 83 81 83 79 75 73. it felt really good and refreshing. we will see if im tired during the meet tomorrow. watson and i cooled down 3 and a half by mainish and then a half mile on the turf. shoutout to watson cause she's finally back with us (well yesterday too) and not at disneyland. obviously we are much more fun than the happiest place on earth.

did a 2 mile loop shakeout run by my house cause we had high mileage today. it was much needed and felt super nice since my legs were a lil rusty from speed yesterday. got to lp and sat around for quite awhile cause the 800 was towards the end. sami and i warmed up a mile. did some strides with sami and then we were up to the line. they split us into two heats, sami and i went into the first. started out and got pretty boxed in. i spent the first 200 movin up cause i got stuck going slower than i wanted to. the first 400 felt controlled and easy. the 2nd half of the race i focused on slowly starting a kick and keeping good form. in the last 100 a lp girl out kicked me but i felt solid with my race. i defintely feel that i can race faster, which im excited about. afterwards sami kaylee guppy and i cooled down 3 miles by glen park which was sooooooo pretty. then guppy and i still had some mielage left so we did 1 and a half on the grass which felt amazing. shoutout to all the lp kids for hosting a meet and killing it. oh and also shout out to the old guy who scared us by opening a car door and screaming at us. that was defintely a highlight. and unshoutout to Collin for stealing some of my smoothie. you better watch out.

did a mile warm up on the turf and then did the 2 mile workout. it was 5x1000s at 2 mile pace with 3 min 30 sec rest inbetween each. hit my paces the first two but my last 3 were all off by a little bit. it was defintely more an endurance workout, which ive found ive actually enjoyed more speed rather than endurance lately. what got me each time was the 2nd 400, so now I'm going to try on working those middle laps better. afterwards i cooled down 3/4 of a mile. oh and i did abs before cause it took so long to start the workout. shoutout to asa for going to morp with me! super sick night and we had some pretty sick dance moves.

today i woke up pretty early and i was quite tired but sami, watson, and i ran to the af rec center and it was a lil chilly at first but it felt so nice at the end. it was recovery which felt so nice on my calves, cause yesterday's workout pretty much wrecked them. once we got to the rec center we got some water, cause watson was really thirsty (lol) and then we did some high quality yoga that was so amazing and then we went back to my house and had a pretty delicious breakfast. so shoutout to both of them cause it was a fantastic day.

my legs felt pretty sore today, I'm guessing from yoga. did mile warm up then strides and 2x400s at 2 mile pace. did a recovery lap inbetween and after. then some starts. then did easy 2 miles in old lehi. wasn't feeling very good today, but did some quality abs after.

So today was quite the day. Sami and i sat around for like 3 hours cause we didn't race til about 6. Did a mile warm up then stretched and then of course right when we started racing it started to snow. I was on pace the first three laps then dropped the next mile and picked it back up like the last 600. Mentally, i felt great but i wasn't quite pushing myself the way i should've and judging by my last lap times, i should have given more effort in the middle laps. However at the end i gave a pretty solid kick and passed a girl which is always a lil more motivating. Im just trying to stay positive and im gonna take a break from the 2 mile for a couple weeks and work on the 800 and mile. Cooled down 3 with Sami and Watson and we roasted Watson hardcore so shoutout to her cause it's officially roast Watson day.

today was quite fantastic. sami guppy watson and i decided to go to the salt lake temple which was so pretty and ive never been inside it before so that's a win. then we went to the boys track meet to watch them all race. we fit in 2 miles, before the 1600 m started and then cheered them on. got about a half mile running around between all the races. then cause there was like a 45 min break before the 800, we finished up mileage on a hilly but pretty neighborhood. oh and guppy and i found some flowers that we put in our braids so that's pretty sick. watched Collin wreck it in the 800 so shoutout to him! and Ryan and thom also killed it in the two mile. afterwards we sped home to get watson back, and then beat sami in some speed. we went to pizza pie with the guys which was quality and shoutout to riley for paying for me, he's a real pal. so yeah super fantastic day.

had speed todayyyy. watson and i warmed up like 2.25 then we got started with 6x400s at goal mile pace with 2:30 rest inbetween and 3x200s all out. it was a lil rough starting cause it was hard to pace with the wind. my times were 84 76 79 80 80 79 33 33 33. i was quite tired after the workout and recovery was pretty slow. overall though, i felt a lot stronger this workout, and i was able to hit the times better. did some abs outside even though it was pretty cold. then sami and i went inside and did some yoga stretchy stuff which felt super nice. it was a win. then we went to rileys for smoothies which were super delicious. who needs roxberry? (lol that's a joke i love that place). shoutout to the nice crosswalk guy who told us happy Easter and gave us gummy bunnies.

ran a half mile warm up then did an almost 5 mile loop up by 12th east. came back and did pre meet. I'll be in Puerto Rico when uvu is so tomorrow's the race of the week for me. 2x400s at goal mile pace. hit 80 for both but i was feeling really tired. shoutout to watson and Mario for doing starts with me. and congrats to connor and josh on their mission calls #preach.

did 1.5 mile shakeout run. then mile warm up. started out on the mile and got really good placement just behind some af girls. first lap was easy. second lap the girls in front of me slowed down to like a 6 min pace so i decided to pick it up and led the group until the last 200 which i didn't really get my kick in and the af girls passed me. not super happy with my time, but i was pretty consistent and even threw a couple strides in there to help pace. did a half mile cool down. then i did a half mile warm up, but it was super early cause the events were taking forever so i pretty much just sat in a blanket until i did strides and then raced the 800. followed an af girl the first 300 m but i was getting tired and thought she was going a lil too fast so i slowed down a bit but then coming up on the last 300 m (so pretty much half a lap later lol) i decided to catch the girl and right as we crossed the finish line i was only .1ish seconds behind her. but i got like a 2:34 which isn't my best but oh well. im starting to feel better about racing, and im so ready to pr.

today we went out towards willowcreek then back. my calves were hecka sore and idk why but it was a pretty good run, especially cause i won't be running with my peeps for like a week #cryingemoji. also shoutout to asa for getting his mission call!
