today there was no school!! we had practice at 10 which meant i got to sleep in (:(: we have simplot this week so we are on low mileage. did a one mile warm up then had 10x400s at goal two mile pace. my times consisted between 81 and 85s which is about 10:50-11:20 range. don't know if ill be going quite that fast, but i defintely am going to try and qualify for finals which would probably require around an 11:45. after the 400s we had 2x100 m finishes which i felt like I had a lot better form. shoutout today goes to the boys cause i had no girls to do the workout with and they killed it. grateful for my watch, sir watch, cause he did a stellar job of pacing.

so today was quite the day. sami Collin and guppy and i drove up to Pocatello (3 hours) and got there and since the track is super sloped, guppy and i ran 1000 m on it to get used to it. had a few hours before i raced so just chilled and watched the boys race. shoutout to connor cause he made it finals! and shootout to tom for getting 15th which is hecka awesome! finally warmed up a mile outside which wasn't too cold. got ready for my race and started out. went faster than I was planning on but went with it cause i was feeling good. got a 5:45 first mile then focused on staying with girls and passing them.shoutout to papa heaps cause he coached me so well through that race. i had a pretty strong finish and passed a girl in the last 60 m. got a pr of 11:43 which got me 8th overall which qualifies me for finals on Saturday!! so I'll be back :) cooled down .6 by myself then did a mile with sami. got some cafe rio which was FANTASTIC. well peace out until tomorrow.

ran 3.25 with watson and sami (guppy a lil) and did the loop. it was nice and slow, my legs defintely needed it. they wanna be all rested up for tomorrow. after the loop i did 3 strides to get my legs going a tiny bit fast. i cooled down the rest on the turf which felt super amazing. grateful for the beautiful sky. shoutout to guppy and connor cause they're gonna kill it tomorrow!

ran .5 cause my legs were feeling rusty from the car ride. about 45 min before i warmed up a mile. started on the race and went out way too fast. my first mile was somewhere from a 5:30-5:40. my legs felt super tired from thursday and i lost it mentally. definitely should've started out slower and built up. the second mile was what got me. i ended with an 11:55 which considering the car ride and racing on Thursday, wasn't too bad, i just wish i had a stronger mental game and was able to push myself a little bit more. im so ready for outdoor season and im already wanting to race again. shoutout to jamie cause she's the best coach ever. and grateful for naps cause i took a pretty quality one after my race.
