did mile and a half warm up then started on speed. it was 3 sets of 3x200 with 2 min rest inbetween. the first set is slower than 800 pace the second set is 800 pace and the last 3 were all out. hit 36 37 37 36 36 36 32 32 31. overall i was super happy and surprised that my legs still had a lot in them at the end. i was glad kaylee was there to push me. between active rest and the workout i got 2.5 miles. cooled down a mile. shoutout to all my peeps racing tomorrow. you guys will kill it.

got into Puerto Rico around 5 pm. my legs were so tight from driving and the flights but running felt so perfect (even tho it was on a treadmill lol).

distance run today. got to use my math skills cause the treadmill was using kilometers. took me about halfway through the run to realize that 1 mile was 1.6 kilometers. went to the beach in st. croix and got pretty sunburnt...

another distance run, today felt longer but that's ok. it's always the worst when you have the same song in your head over and over again. today i learned that im pretty scared of sting rays. in antigua we got to swim with them and they are pretty slimy and gross. and if  you're wondering the tot guide said don't step on the tail cause that'll hurt.

2x600-500-400-300 at goal mile pace. wasn't hard to pace cause i was on a treadmill but it was definitely a good workout. my legs were sore from weights yesterday and such so that was kinda a struggle. i got a mud bath for the first time ever and it is highly reccomended if you are hecka sunburnt.

woke up early cause we had an early morning excursion and did the percentage run. first mile at 60 seconds slower than goal 2-mile pace so 6:45-6:50ish and then next two miles at 60 seconds slower than goal mile pace so 6:25 and then a half mile what you have left. hit all my paces first three miles then kinda slowed down for a 400 but picked it up even faster my last 400 and averaged out the pace. overall i was super happy cause last year i struggled with tempo runs but i hit paces today. got to go river tubing in Grenada which was super fun and then i took a quality nap.

whistle hills today.... well kinda. didn't have a hill but just did sprints on the treadmill, who knew it could go that fast? but i pushed myself and was pretty wiped by the end of it. today was a day at sea so i tried a lot of fun stuff on the ship and struggled hard core rollerblading. but hey my sunburn finally doesn't hurt so shoutout for that.

really sick of running by myself and not being able to run off the ship. as much as i hate treadmills, i hate 250 m tracks more. the gym was closed today so i ran 6 miles on the track. unshoutout to the track. ready to be home and with the team.

took a 4 mile loop by the solw and it was so fun to have everyone to run with today including jamie (: finished up a mile in old lehi. shoutout to watson cause we had matching braids lol.

ran 3 on the treadmill before school. during the assembly i drove up to airport and did 6x1 min pickups. i felt super good about the workout, just sad i haven't done speed with any of the girls for like 2 weeks. another shoutout to watson cause even tho I sometimes roast her hardcore she's still the bestest

ran 3.5 with watson during lunch which was a quality time and i felt really good. then we did a mile on the mile loop and then 5x150 m buildups. tried to go to the temple but couldn't find my reccomend ): i also found a prom dress today so that's sick.

mile warm up then strides. did pre meet with recovery laps inbetween. there was some pretty strong winds but i actually felt like that motivated me more and i was feeling good. did some starts and then finished up mileage toward willowcreek.

mile shakeout run during class with sami and the girls. then did abs which is pretty much unheard of on race days lol. headed to pg and got warmed up for the mile and it was crazy windy. i prepped myself for the wind which was good mentally. took a lil while but finally got to the starting line. it was a rough start. lots of elbows but i got good enough placement within the first 200. not in the front though, im no windbreaker. next lap i knew i needed to speed it up, but i waited for another girl to take the lead and i followed her. wasn't as close to her as i wanted to be for the wind on the straightaway, but that gave me pretty good motivation to catch her in the next couple hundred meters. i was feeling super not tired still so i got her and she blocked the wind for me on the third lap. last lap i took off and lead till the last 100 when 2 girls caught me and beat me by like half a second, but my lil legs started to really feel the wind and man they were tired. overall, i was pretty happy with how i mentally raced it, and i felt like the effort was there, the wind just didn't quite help lol. did 2 mile cool down but decided not to go to richards house when the timp boys invited watson and i. had one more mile and Collin and Jake were the real mvps and ran it with me so shoutout to them for that and killin their races. watson ran the medley and my legs felt tight from sitting for a while so i did the half mile warm up with her. afterwards i got some quality cafe rio, so solid day (:

warmed up a mile and i was feeling good cause the weather was wayy better. started out and first lap was a little fast as always. first mile split was a 5:52 which was perfect except i was planning on negative splitting. i spent the majority of the race with this girl in a blue jersey and every time i pulled up, she did too and then we both slowed down. i pulled out a good last lap, which saved my time a little, but not super happy with my race. i cooled down a mile after my race then went and cheered on the boys. then i did 1.5 with sami and we both talked about our races which helped me cool down in more ways than one. then we did a half mile on the turf which felt really soft. got to watch the 800s and every killed it and special shoutout to Mario for pulling a 2:24! i did a mile with Mario cause i still had some frustration to run out.

warmed up a mile then speed. 12x400s, first set at 1-2 seconds slower than current mile pace, second set was current mile pace, and the last set was faster. splits were 83 83 83 83 83 78 80 81 80 75 76 77. felt pretty good until the last set and that was kinda rough but i felt like i pushed myself until the end. i cooled down with watson and guppy and i was defintely feeling the workout. afterwards we did abs and had a plank competition in honor of the guys lol. then we went to roxberry which is always a plus. then watched and helped out with the meet.

did half mile warm up then pre meet. hit 78 then 80 which was a little fast but good. some starts and strides then watson and I did an easy 3 miles. did some abs then biked while i waited for dallin but gave up on that after 30 min. pretty excited cause i don't have to wake up at 5:30 tomorrow #mathprobs.

warmed up a mile then got on the startline for the mile. got pretty good position and just stayed with the group. i don't remember much of the race, just that the last lap hurt a lot. ended up with a 5:38, which is getting better but still not quite where i want it to be. went an elevated for a little while and then warmed up a mile inside, but i guess it was a little too early cause i ended up sitting in a blanket outside for an hour, cause they were behind schedule. missed first call but finally got over to the bull pen. the gun went off and i had to maneuver a little to get to the front behind the leading girl. i just hung with her the first lap and then the second lap i pulled ahead, starting my kick and just tried to go as fast as my legs would allow. ended up with a pr so i was happy about that. 1.5 mile cool down.

4 miles on the treadmill in the morning. after school we had speed. did a mile warm up then 3 sets of 300-200-100 at 800 pace. tried to push it cause i was feeling really good today. shoutout to everyone who did the 800 workout, y'all killed it.

warmed up on the turf today then pre meet. the 400s were on pace but felt a little rough. my legs are really tired. finished up some nice easy miles on main and by willowcreek. i iced bath which hopefully helps for tomorrow but we will see. had my prom day date tonight which was super fun. played some frisbee and kill and even car loaded, so pretty much a quality night.

got up and went on the bus to Orem. my legs still felt super sore, probably from high mileage all week. warmed up a mile with the girls and for some reason i was feeling super nervous. got to the start line and just followed watson. first lap was really fast, second lap was too comfortable, third lap we moved up really well, and fourth lap i lost watson and just tried to maintain some speed. ended with a 5:39 which is like the same as last week. cooled down a mile with watson, before she had to go, then did two miles with sami. i elevated for a little bit. got warmed up for the 800 with Mario and did a mile. got to the start line and then just hung towards the back of the pack for the first lap. then i tried to move up the second lap but i got boxed in and the group was slowing down smh. the last 100 m i passed a lot of girls cause i had too much energy left. i got a 2:29 which matches my pr, but i was still hoping to do better. cooled down half a mile with Mario. then got home and got ready for prom which was super sick so shoutout to Michael!
